Pathway for Active National PEng Holders to obtain IntPE
BPERB is currently a Provisional Member of IPEA. Applicants approved through this pathway will receive the National PEng designation only at this time. Once BPERB attains Authorised IPEA Membership, eligible PEng holders may apply for full IntPE registration. See the IntPE page for full details.
Active National PEng holders may apply for upgrade to IntPE without sitting a written examination or viva voce. This is the most streamlined pathway and recognises the existing competence already demonstrated through the PEng assessment.
Active National PEng holders are exempt from written examination and viva voce when applying for IntPE. Only an online application form and the application fee are required.
Download the IntPE Application Form for PEng Holders (Appendix C.5) from the Downloads page.
Fill in all sections of the form. Mark the CV heading as "Application for IntPE" on the first page.
Log in to the BPERB portal and submit the completed form with supporting documents and CPD records.
Pay the applicable application fee online via SSLCommerz or by bank deposit to Mercantile Bank PLC.
Application & Registration Committee reviews eligibility. Followed by Assessment & Moderation Committee decision.
Successful candidates are verified by the IEB Ethics Board and approved by the BPERB Board. Results published on the website.
