Established in 2001 under the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB), BPERB is the national authority for recognising professional engineering competence and safeguarding public safety across Bangladesh.
Following the enforcement of BNBC 2020, BPERB serves as the regulatory platform overseeing statutory design certifications through the RAJUK Electronic Construction Permitting System (ECPS). All structural and geotechnical designs must be certified by a BPERB-registered engineer.
BPERB offers three distinct registration categories. Choose the pathway that matches your qualifications and experience.
Mandatory under BNBC 2020 for all engineers submitting designs to RAJUK ECPS. Three categories (II–IV) based on discipline and experience.
The national mark of engineering competence. Demonstrates advanced professional standing to employers, clients and regulators.
Aligned with the IPEA framework. Note: BPERB is currently a Provisional IPEA member — applicants currently receive National PEng designation pending full IPEA authorisation.
More than a credential — a statutory requirement, a mark of competence, and a gateway to global recognition.
Mandatory under BNBC 2020 — all engineers must hold a valid RE designation to submit designs through the RAJUK ECPS.
IPEA mutual recognition enables practice in partner countries without re-examination.

Upload on the BPERB Portal: CV, academic certificates, IEB membership certificate, experience documents, CPD records, Competence & Commitment Report (3,000–5,000 words), 2 Sponsor Recommendation Reports, passport photo, and NID copy.

The Assessment Committee reviews your application. Approved candidates are listed on the official register.
