General Information
BA-4750 Col Md Elias Hossain, psc, PEng (Ex Engrs) started his military career with 12 Engr Bn, Jessore back in 1994. In his career, he has served gracefully in many prestigious appointments as unit member, staff and instructor. As unit member, he served in 12 Engr Bn, 3 Engr Bn, 19 ECB and 7 RE Bn. He commanded 7 RE Battalion and performed as Zone Commander very successfully under 305 Infantry Brigade (Rangamati Region) at Kaptai in 2010- 2011. He is one of the few officers of Corp of Engineers has got the opportunity to serve in three formats, i.e. Division Engr Bn, Engineer Construction battalion (ECB) and Riverine Engineer (RE) Bn. As staff officer grade II (GSO-II), he served in Military Intelligence Directorate (MI Dte), AHQ for more than three years. He also served in Sena Kalyan Sangstha (SKS) as Secretary for a considerable period of time. As Commander MES(Army), he completed his 3 years journey with Bogra Cantonment very successfully. He also served as Superintendent Engineer at Maritime University, Bangladesh. As instructor, he served in School of Military Engineering (SME), ECSME, Qadirabad Cantt. He also served in United Nation mission at UNAMSIL (Sierra Leone) as contingent member and UNMISS (Sudan) as Staff Officer (Engr Ops). He is a graduate (Civil Engineering) from Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) and also acquired the professional engineering certification (PEng) from Institute of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB). He completed the ‘Staff Course-32’ in 2007-2008 from DSCSC, Mirpur. Before retirement, he served in Padma Bridge Rail Link Project (PBRLP) as land acquisition In charge and later acting resident Engineer from Bhanga to Jashore area up to May 2025. Now he is working with a developer Company as Director Operations at Mirpur DOHS Dhaka.
